The Uber luxury car service has not had the easiest week in D.C. The Taxicab Commission called the company out as “illegal,” performed a sting, and says it’s going to the attorney general. It’s only been in Washington, D.C. for about a month. So why, after more than two days of tense legal limbo, haven’t Uber and the head of the Taxicab Commission talked? I talked to both sides to figure out why.
