The Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race is a surreal event. I spent all of yesterday afternoon watching enormous quirky creations dive into the Canton Waterfront and then later putter through the mud of Patterson Park.

Have you checked out Song 1 at the Hirshhorn yet? I caught a glimpse of this awesome art project the other evening. But now Wired, the Hirshhorn, and Pitchfork are teaming up for a big event on May 11 to celebrate the project, with live musicians on hand, and I just bought a ticket.
