Here’s a photo of my father at age 26, less than a year older than I am now. The photo is courtesy of the uploading of my younger sister Cat. This would have been 1949, right after his ordination. George Hendel would be a Catholic priest of St. Louis for the next 36 years. Happy Father’s Day, everyone.

Such a different vision of transit than I’m used to in D.C. in 2012 (except for maybe with I’m riding on one half of the Red Line).
